Full Stack Software Engineer Intern
This is not a shadowing internship. You will pick up real tickets, open real pull requests, and see your work go live. You will be paired with an engineer who reviews your code and helps you grow.
Apply for this roleThis is a paid internship
All E1 internships are paid. We confirm your hourly rate and expected weekly hours in writing before you accept, and interns are paid for every hour worked.
What you will do
- Build user-facing features and fix bugs across the stack
- Open pull requests and iterate through code review
- Write tests for the code you ship
- Join standups, planning, and design discussions as a full participant
What we are looking for
- Studying computer science or software engineering, or building equivalent skills through self-teaching, a bootcamp, or open-source work
- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript and basic web fundamentals
- Familiarity with Git and a willingness to learn our review process
- Genuine curiosity and the persistence to work through hard problems
Nice to have
Genuinely optional — missing all of these will not rule you out.
- Personal projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon work
- Exposure to React, Node.js, or SQL
Not a perfect match?
Research consistently shows strong candidates skip roles when they do not meet every bullet. If you are close on most of this list, apply and tell us where you are strong. We would rather read your application than miss you.
