Privacy Policy
Last updated · April 19, 2026
Your trust is the foundation of our platform. Here's how we collect, use, and protect your data across E1 — built for authenticity, designed for scale.
1. Introduction
Welcome to E1 ("E1", "we", "our", or "us"). E1 operates a creator marketing platform that connects brands and agencies with verified creators through location-verified campaigns, smart contracts, and instant payouts.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have regarding your data. By using E1, our mobile applications, or any related services (together, the "Services"), you agree to the practices described here.
This policy applies to both Brand / Agency accounts and Creator accounts. Where a rule only applies to one type of user, we say so explicitly.
2. Information We Collect
Account information
When you register, we collect your name, email address, password (hashed), phone number, date of birth, and role (brand, agency, or creator). Brands may also provide company name, website, industry, and billing contact.
Creator profile data
Creators provide demographic information (age range, location), niches/interests, and content preferences. Our AI discovery engine matches creators to campaigns based on these attributes along with audience insights from connected social accounts.
Campaign & content data
We store campaign briefs, contracts, submitted content, performance metrics (reach, engagement, conversions, ROI), approval status, and dispute records.
Device & technical data
- IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers.
- Log data, referring URLs, pages viewed, timestamps.
- Crash reports and performance diagnostics.
Communications
Messages exchanged via in-app messaging, support tickets, and email correspondence are retained to provide service continuity and resolve disputes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Services.
- Match creators with relevant campaigns via AI-based discovery.
- Generate and execute smart contracts between brands and creators.
- Verify post compliance (location check-ins, content requirements).
- Process instant payouts and handle billing.
- Provide real-time analytics and ROI dashboards.
- Detect fraud, fake followers, bots, and engagement manipulation.
- Send transactional notifications, platform updates, and campaign invites.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
4. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in these situations:
- Between matched parties: Brands see verified creator profiles and public performance metrics; creators see campaign briefs and brand details for campaigns they have accepted.
- Service providers: Payment processors, cloud hosting (AWS), analytics, email delivery, fraud detection, and customer support tooling — bound by confidentiality.
- Legal compliance: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, property, and safety.
- Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to affected users.
5. Social Platform Data
E1 integrates with YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram through their official APIs. When you connect a social account, we request read-only permissions to access:
- Public profile details (handle, follower count, verification status).
- Aggregated audience insights (demographics, geography).
- Post metadata and performance metrics for campaign posts.
We do not post on your behalf, modify your content, or access private messages. You can revoke access at any time from your E1 account settings or the social platform directly.
6. Location Verification
For campaigns that require location check-ins, we collect precise device location only at the moment of check-in. This is used exclusively to confirm creator proximity to the designated campaign location and to prevent fraud. Location data associated with a check-in is stored as part of the campaign compliance record.
We do not continuously track your location, and location services are not required for browsing campaigns or managing your profile.
7. Payments & Payouts
Brands pay via credit card or bank transfer through our PCI-compliant payment processors. Creators receive instant payouts once campaign posts are validated against all rules. We store limited billing metadata (last 4 digits, card brand, payout status) but never store full card numbers on our systems.
For creators in applicable jurisdictions, we collect tax identification details required to issue annual tax forms.
8. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you signed in and remember preferences.
- Measure site usage and improve product performance.
- Protect against fraudulent logins and abuse.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may limit core functionality.
9. Security
We apply enterprise-grade security practices, including:
- TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit and AES-256 at rest.
- AES encryption for sensitive PII fields.
- Role-based access controls and audit logging.
- File validation, magic-byte checks, and malware scanning for uploads.
- Continuous monitoring and fraud detection systems.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We strongly recommend using a strong, unique password and enabling two-factor authentication.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including the EU, UK, and California), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@e1.app. We respond within 30 days.
11. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account remains active. Campaign records, contracts, and compliance evidence are retained for up to 7 years after campaign completion to meet legal, tax, and audit obligations. Anonymised analytics may be kept indefinitely.
12. Children & Minors
E1 is not directed to children under 16. Creators must be at least 16 years old, and creators aged 16–17 must have parental consent on file. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone below these thresholds. If you believe a minor has provided data without consent, please contact us so we can remove it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our platform evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
